Marx Wang is currently a graduate student of Computer Science at Virginia Tech. His works focus on UI/UX design and data science. He has been doing graphic design since high school, producing numerous outstanding posters and print work. Upon entering college, he discovered his passion in UI/UX design and data science. During undergrad, he led or help designed and developed various applications and products, produced publications at top HCI conference, founded start-up PikaCourses, developed intelligent interfaces with machine learning, while finishing his degree in Computer Science in three years. In his second year, he recognized the growing importance of data and decided to pursue CS-Data Science Computing Major, and become Virginia Tech's first and so far the only DCC major graduate. In his graduate work, he continued to dive deep in UX design and research, while conducting research at psychology department and building apps with applied machine learning techniques.
